Pain relief versus Corrective care?
Although Chiropractic is effective in providing patch-up or pain relief treatment, we have found correcting the spine offers long term benefits for decades to come. When we see a patient for the first time at Chiropractic Works we always let them know there are two basic forms of chiropractic care. There is relief care, which is pain control, and there is corrective care, which is working on the underlying structural abnormalities (that are causing the pain) to make a more permanent change. It’s kind of like spinal orthodontics.
Nerve interference is the root cause of most bodily pain, fatigue, organ dysfunction, and disease. By realigning the spine, we are able to restore proper nerve flow and health to your body.
Most of us don’t realize that inside each of us, over 640 named muscles act in harmony with thousands of tendons and ligaments to create a vast system of levers and pulleys. This system moves the 206 bones of the adult human skeleton creating our movement, known as locomotion. This intricate network makes your body one of the most complex machines known to mankind.
With so many moving parts, the source of each of our individual patient’s ailments are usually unique to that particular individual. Though many of our patients will seek our care due to similar complaints, neck or back pain for example, almost no two patients walking through our doors will receive identical treatment.
